No person shall be eligible to the office of Governor whoshall not have been a citizen of the United States fifteen years, and acitizen of the State six years, and who shall not have attained the age ofthirty years. Par. Vm. In case of the death, resignation or disability of the Gov-ernor, the President of the Senate shall exercise the executive powersof the government until such disability be removed, or a successor iselected and qualified. And in case of the death, resignation or disabil-ity of the President of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Repre-sentatives shall exercise the executive powers of the government untilthe removal of the disability, or the election and qualification of a Gov-ernor. Par. IX. The General Assembly shall have power to provide by lawfor filling unexpired terms by special elections. Par. X.
