English: This photograph was taken in 1920 at one of the recording sessions for w:The Pirates of Penzance at HMV "supervised by the w:D'Oyly Carte Opera Company". The conductor, w:George W. Byng, is standing. The singers, from left to right, were: Seated: Bessie Jones, Violet Essex, Sarah Jones, Harold Wilde, w:Robert Radford; Standing: w:Derek Oldham, Walter Glynne, w:Ernest Pike, Edna Thornton, Peter Dawson, Edward Halland, George Baker and Nellie Walker. All of such persons are deceased. |
