Text Appearing Before Image:
nducted by Mrs. Morlandwith a scrupulous regularity which subjected their children tomore than ordinary restraint, but they were preserved in a stateof uninterrupted health ; and she is herself a remarkable instanceof the effects of exercise and temperance in prolonging activityand cheerfulness to a late period of life. Later biographers of George Morland have statedthat his mother was an artist ; but nothing to justifythis assertion occurs in the works of Dawe, Blagdon,or Hassell.
