George Kilbon Nash (8/14/1842-10/28/1904) was born in York Township which is in Medina County. In 1864, he enlisted in the Union Army. Once he became ill, he had to leave the service. He passed the bar examination in 1867. He began working as a lawyer in private practice that same year. From 1870 to 1874, he was the prosecuting attorney for Franklin County. He was elected to the position of Ohio Attorney General in 1880. From 1883 to 1885, he served on the Ohio Supreme Court. He served as Governor of Ohio from 1900 to 1904. He married Adeline Ayres in 1882. He is buried in Green Lawn Cemetery. |
