| Description |
The Maltese Flag incorporates an image of the George Cross that was awarded to the whole island during WWII in response to their fortitude in the face of very heavy and prolonged bombing from German and Italian bombers. We are looking over Grand Harbour from Upper Barakka Gardens, Valletta. I knew the image I wanted, but the shot proved to be a little tricky to get. The flag was fluttering in the breeze and it took a few shots to catch it showing the image of the George Cross. |
