[edit]
Description
English: From source, Photograph of the Tapeshvara temple, Lohara taken by Henry Cousens in the 1880s or 1890s. Lohara is located in the Jalgaon district of the modern state of Maharashtra. Cousens described the structure in this photograph shortly after it was taken in 1897 : "The remains of an old temple, with very plainly moulded wall, on the Sonai stream, about a mile south of the village, called Tapesvara." The Tapeshvara Temple consists of a sanctum and a sabha mandapa or hall, supported by sixteen columns. Both sides of the entrance are well carved.
