English: eneral view of mountain climbing troglodytes of Douirat, extreme southern Tunisia. In the foreground may be seen a view of the troglodyte cemetery with white tombs of the Marabour or holy men. Above is the human beehive where thousands of human beings are born and live and die. The mountain is literally honey-combed with large caves chiselled out of the rock. 1890-1900
