126 BROWN BROTHERS CO., CONTINENTAL NURSERIES Imperatrice Eugenie—One of the best white Clematis. The plant is vigorous and pro- duces flowers profusely, which are of fine form, large and of a pure white. July to Oct. Jackmanni—The plant is free in its form of growth,and an abun- dant and succcs- sional bloomer, pro- ducing flowers until frozen up. The flow- ers are large and of intense violet-pur- ple, remarkable for its velvety richness. Th ujh raised in iS52, since which time many new vari- eties have been in- troduced, the Jack- manni has no super- ior and very few, if any, equals. July to "Oct. Jackmanni Alba—Sim- ilar to jackmanni in habits, etc., except that flowers are a pure white ; a pro- fuse bloomer. Jeane cTArc—A free- growing, vig orous variety. Flowers very large — seven inches across—of a grayish or French white color, with three bluish veins in each sepal; deli- cate and beautiful. July to Oct. Kermesina Splendida— A splendid variety of the utmost profu- sion of bloom ; flow- ers medium size and bright wine-red col- or, without a touch of purple. A strong, free grower, produc- ing shade in a com- para t i v e 1 y short time; a perfect sheet of fine red color. Lady Boville -—This very line variety has peculiar and W6ll- formed cupped flow - ers, of a clear, soft, grayish-blue. It is a vigorous grower and free and contin- uous bloomer. July CLEMATIS KERMESINA. to Oct.
