es Leading to the Degree of Master of Arts. Those who desire to pursue the post-graduate work in thisdepartment, looking toward a Masters degree, will be requiredto do one years residence work in the College. Major work willbe offered in Chemistry only; either of the other branches maybe taken as minors. In Chemistry a more extended course in quantitative analy-sis will be required, both gravimetric and volumetric. Followingthis the candidate will be required to make many organic prepa-rations and analyze same. The latter part of the year he willchoose some special subject and under the direction of the pro-fessor will prepare a thesis showing original work, and submitsame to the Faculty. At least fifteen hours laboratory work perweek will be required. Bible A systematic Bible course of one year is given, with thePresident as instructor. The class meets from 3 to 5 times aweek. This course may be substituted for some other study inthe course, and will count 3 points toward graduation.

A MAGAZINE STAFF. ■*rMf* lifffOMMI MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE. 37 Degrees In order to take the B.A., B.S., or B.P. degree, a studentmust complete work valued at 100 points in the schedule of val-ues which follows. Studies for the B.A. and B.S. degrees arespecified throughout. The studies for the B.P. degree may bechosen by the student. The student, however, who takes thisdegree, must complete in full two of the following schools:English, Latin, Greek Mathematics, Natural Sciences. He canchoose the two of these which he prefers, and outside of thetwo schools selected, he can choose his studies freely from thosespecified in the B.A. and B.S. courses. In making up the 100 points required for graduation, nopoints will be allowed on any uncompleted book, and no pointswill be allowed for less than one years work in Greek, Latin,French or German. CLASSICAL COURSE (B. A.)Freshman Class. English, 5 recitations a week; value, 4 points.Latin, -5 recitations a week; value, 4 points.Greek, 5 recitation
