Description
English: General John E. Hyten, Commander of Air Force Space Command, and Gwynne Shotwell, President and Chief Operating Officer of SpaceX, took part in a ceremony where SpaceX presented AFSPC with a Falcon 9 model April 15 at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. In his comments, General Hyten emphasized the importance of assured access to space and the contributions of our partner companies, such as SpaceX, saying, “Without rockets we can’t get to space and do what we do.” AFSPC provides resilient and affordable space and cyberspace capabilities with a global perspective to the joint warfighting team.
