Miss Ziegler, whowil be instructor in this school, brings with her the requisite train-ing and enthusiasm for a successful practice school for the elemen-tary grades. RURAL. LIFE CONFERENCES. A special week of conferences on Rural Life and Education willbe held during the third week of the Summer School. Each yearthese conferences bring together much of the best talent in theState and elsewhere with a view to practical help in the problems ofthe country school. This year, in addition to our state superintend-ent of schools and the state supervisors, as well as other Georgiaspecialists in rural education, Professor Harold W. Foght, of theBureau of Education, will be present and it is hoped that the U. S.Commissioner of Education himself will attend.

X 30 The University Summer School. COUNTY SUPERINTENDENTS CAMP. A number of county superintendents are planning to attend theentire summer session to give and to receive assistance. It is pro-posed to provide a camp for the superintendents so that theymay work out their problems together in fellowship, work, and fun.Any other superintendents who wish to avail themselves of thisopportunity will do well to write at once for particulars. This planwill be tried only if it is desired by a sufficient number. WOMANS CLUB NIGHT. During the week of Rural Conferences one evening will be devotedto the consideration of the problems of women in country life.This program will be largely under the direction of the State Feder-ation of Womens Clubs, and led by Mrs. Nellie Peters Black, anddistrict presidents, with the cooperation of Miss Celeste Parrish,State Supervisor of Rural Schools.
