| Description |
Português: General Alvear, 30.000 habitantes, umas das principais cidades agrícolas do Sul de Mendoza, Argentina. Área urbana em salpicado branco. O padrão quadriculado, de verde a marrom, são lotes agrícolas irrigados pelas águas do Rio Atuel, linha preta que corre do centro da imagem, embaixo, para o N, à esq. da área urbana, até o alto, à dir. São plantados principalmente, frutíferas (ameixa, pêssego, marmelo e oliveiras), videiras e forragem, além de legumes. Nas áreas não irrigadas, em marrom, pecuária extensiva do semi-árido / General Alvear, 30,000 people, one of Southern Mendoza, Argentina´s main agricultural towns. Urban area appears in saltpepper. Checkred pattern, from green to brpwn, are agriculture plots irrigated by Atuel River waters, black line running from S to N from image bottom center, to the left of urban area, all the way up to image top left. Plots have mostly fruit trees ( plum, peach, quince and olive trees), vines and forage. Extensive semi-arid region cattle ranching happens at non irrigated areas, in brown.
