De jaarlijkse kranslegging op de verjaardag van het Korps Mariniers vond weer plaats hij het standbeeld op het Oostplein in Rotterdam. Na de inspectie van de gewapende wacht door Generaal Prins en de burgemeester van Rotterdam, dhr van Opstelten, hield Vlootaalmoezenier van Zwam een toespraak.
