English: Army Staff Sgt. Byron Bartosh, 1st Cavalry Division Band, plays taps at the conclusion of a commemoration held at the U.S. Embassy, Kabul, Afghanistan, Sept. 11, 2011, honoring those who died as a result of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. The 1st Cavalry Division Band is deployed from Fort Hood, Texas. At the symbolic time of 9:11 a.m., guests and embassy employees paused for a moment of silence to remember those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of 9/11, to express solidarity with their families and loved ones and to honor Afghan and international victims of terrorism.
