Description
Deutsch: Gedenkstein für die gefallene Soldaten Richard Spencer Burrows und Heinrich Brunk am Westwall in Roetgen. Tafelinschrift: "Mit diesem Denkmal wird an die hier am 12. und 13. September 1944 gefallenen deutschen und amerikanischen Soldaten erinnert. Sie stehen stellvertretend für alle Opfer der beiden Weltkriege des 20. Jahrhunderts. — This Monument commemorates the American and German Soldiers, who died here on September 12th and 13th, 1944. Representing all the victims in the World Wars of the 20th Century. — Richard Spencer Burrows, 1st Lieutenant 3. US Armd.Div. US Army, who was killed in action on September 12th, 1944 — der hier am 12. September gefallen ist. — Heinrich Brunk, Oberfeldwebel, Ersatz- und Ausb. Btl 328, Deutsche Wehrmacht, gefallen am 13. September 1944,, killed in action on September 13th, 1944."
