Deutsch: Das Haus wurde 1910 als Studenten- und Professorenhaus eröffnet und gilt als älteste Universitätsmensa Deutschlands. Die Errichtung der Seeburg wurde auch durch eine anonyme Großspende möglich, als deren Geber Prinz Heinrich von Preußen vermutet wird. 1913 erfolgte die Erweiterung durch den flachen Südtrakt, an dessen Ende zur Innenstadt hin das sogenannte Kaiserzimmer liegt. Die steinerne Gedenktafel, die dort angebracht ist, lautet: "Gestiftet zur Erinnerung an die Feier 25-jähriger friedlicher Regierung Wilhelm II 1888 1913". |
