  • Dieses Haus wurde in den Jahren 1899 bis 1900 als eines der ersten Gewerkschaftshäuser Deutschlands gebaut — mit großzügiger Unterstützung von Leo Martin Arons 15.2.1860 bis 10.10.1919. Er war Physiker, Sozialdemokrat und Förderer der freien Gewerkschaften, lehrte als Privatdozent an der Berlin Universität und erfand die Quecksilberdampflampe. Wegen siner Zugehörigkeit zur Sozialdemokratischen Partei entzog ihm der preußische Staat 1900 die Lehrerlaubnis. In einem Hof dieses Hauses erhielt er seine Grabstätte. Mit der BEsetzung des Hauses am 2. Mai 1933 durch die Nationalsozialisten begann die Zerschlagung der freien Gewerkschaftsbewegung Das Grab wurde zerstört. Edit this at Wikidata
