Description
Deutsch: Gedenkstein zur Erinnerung an den Sowjetischen Soldatenfriedhof im Schlosspark Biesdorf in Berlin-Biesdorf. Anlass der Aufstellung war der 80. Jahrestag des Überfalls auf die Sowjetunion am 22. Juni 1941. Der Stein wurde am 22. Juni 2021 enthüllt durch das Bezirksamt Marzahn-Hellersdorf und dem Verein Freunde Schloss Biesdorf. Text: "Im südlichen Teil des Parks befand sich von 1946 bis 1958 ein sowjetischer Soldatenfriedhof mit Gräbern für Offiziere, Soldaten und zivile Tote. Die Verstorbenen wurden auf den Parkfriedhof Marzahn umgebettet."
English: Memorial stone commemorating the Soviet military cemetery in the Schlosspark Biesdorf in Berlin-Biesdorf, Germany. The stone was erected on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the invasion of the Soviet Union on 22 June 1941 and unveiled on 22 June 2021 by the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district office and the Freunde Schloss Biesdorf Association. Text (translation): "In the southern part of the park there was a Soviet military cemetery from 1946 to 1958 with graves for officers, soldiers and civilian dead. The deceased were moved to the Parkfriedhof Marzahn."
