Description
Nederlands: Gedenkplaat in de Laurentiuskerk in Bergambacht.

Deze toren werd in de tweede helft van
de XVde eeuw gebouwd als onderdeel van de aan
St. Laurentius gewijde kerk.
De Geldersen staken in het jaar 1512
het dorp in brand tengevolge waarvan kerk en toren
zware schade opliepen.
Na het herstel in 1513 trof een orkaan het gebouw
op 1 augustus 1674.
Bij het herstellen van de schade werd het koor
afgebroken.
In 1891 verwoestte een grote brand de kerk,
terwijl de toren opnieuw zwaar geteisterd werd.
De kerk werd in 1893 grotendeels vernieuwd
en de toren hersteld met ijzeren balklagen
en een spits met een ijzeren geraamte.
Krachtens besluit van de gemeenteraad van
14 april 1959 vond in de jaren 1961-1963 de restauratie
van de toren plaats, waarbij de bovenbouw zoveel mogelijk

in overeenstemming werd gebracht met de vorm van vóór 1891.

This tower was the second half of the XVth century as part of the on St. Laurentius church dedicated. The Gueldrians stakes in 1512 the village on fire customers due to which church and tower opliepen heavy damage. After the restoration in 1513 a hurricane struck the built on August 1, 1674. When restoring the scahde the choir was aborted. In 1891 a great fire destroyed the church, while the tower was again heavily infested. The church was largely renovated in 1893 and the tower restored with iron girders and a striker with an iron frame. By resolution of the City Council April 14, 1959 took place in the years 1961 to 1963 restoration place of the tower, wherein the superstructure as far as possible
