Twee Zweden en twee jonge Rotterdammers hakken op vakkundige en kunstzinnige wijze met pneumatische beitels het ontwerp van de Rotterdamse kunstenaar Gerard Heeman in hard Zweeds graniet. Deze beeldengroep, Vrede en Oorlog uitbeeldend, zal Ut meter lang, 2 meter breed en 80 c.m. dik worden. Het geheel heeft het respectabele gewicht van 65 ton en zal binnen twee maanden op het dak van het gebouw der Rotterdamse Bankvereniging worden geplaatst. "Arnhemsche courant". Arnhem, 24-06-1947.
