Gaziantep Ihsan Bey Cami

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Prayer area with left mioharb, right the minbar, that is reached from behind the wall rather than having a staircase in front. From elsewhere on the web I gather: The mosque was built by Esenbek, son of Ertene in the mid 14th Century. It has several similar-sounding names; Esenbek, İhsan Bey and Hasan Bey. The mosque is rectangular in design, divided widthways into two sections, each running parallel to the kiblah (direction of Mecca).
