Alaybey Camii

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: To the left of the mihrab a staircase leads to a spot where one could adress the room. Alaybey mosque: the eastern part is thought to have been built in 1594, and the mihrab part in 1598. In the northwest corner is the one minaret. The mosque plan is of the Ottoman style, with a gallery in front for late-comers to prayer (son cemaat) with five arches. Black and white stones provide accents. In 2014 the mosque has been restored.
