Summary
[edit]DescriptionGaziantep Achaeological Museum in 2005 4032b.jpg |
English: Perseus and Andromeda mosaic, 2nd-3rd century AD, from the Poseidon Villa. Perseus saves the daughter of a queen chained to a rock. The mother of the girl had boasted she was more beautiful than daughters of the sea king, causing the latter’s wrath, as a result of which the daughter was chained to that rock. |

I often had trouble with the light shining on the mosaic, and never was quite sure I got it right. But as I trook many pictures, I think at least some must be true.
