English: Gates to the Battle Area In the Second World War a substantial area of the Norfolk Breckland, between Thetford and Swaffham, was commandeered by the army for training purposes; they have retained control ever since. Although there are signs here warning that this is a military firing range - keep out, and of the danger of unexploded munitions, security is distinctly low-key. |
