| Description |
English: Gatehouse on corner of Shotts Lane. This impressive entrance and gatehouse leads nowhere. However, on seeing the layout of the defunct Lymington Airfield (174714) it seems likely this gatehouse originally led to Pylewell House to the southeast but that the drive was destroyed when the airfield was built (I am speculating here). Shotts Lane is at right; the road going straight ahead is from Lymington to South Baddesley. |
