| Description |
English: Gas holder beside the canal Gas works (Kensal Green in this case) were supplied with coal transported via the canal hence were positioned as close as possible to the water. The skeletal remains of the holders, or gasometers, have acquired a nostalgic, almost aesthetic, charm nowadays but this site (actually in North Kensington) is due for 'regeneration' in the near future. |
