Summary
[edit]DescriptionGarn Gron summit - geograph.org.uk - 519431.jpg |
English: Garn Gron summit. The summit plateau of Garn Gron is decorated by two cairns and a trig point. As the grid line passes between them, the summit cairn is next door 519412. The other cairn, shown here with the trig, is more a partial ring shelter than a cairn, providing protection from westerly winds. The summit, in the SE corner of this square, overlooks rough and in places boggy moorland throughout the square. The northwesterly spur from Garn Gron is thought to be a prehistoric fortification called Gwys yr Ychen Bannog http://www.cambria.org.uk/HLC/uplandceredigion/bryngwynbach.htm . |
