Français : En 1908 un concours est lancé pour reconstruire la gare suite à l'ouverture du tunnel du Simplon, le concours fut remporté par les bureaux d'architectes Monod & Laverrière et Taillens & Dubois et la construction fut réalisée de 1911 à 1916.
La gare a bénéficié d'une transformation sur projet de l'architecte lausannois Danilo Mondala entre 1992 et 1996.
Italiano: Nel 1908 fu lanciato un concorso per ricostruire la stazione in seguito all'apertura del tunnel del Sempione, il concorso fu vinto dagli studi d'architettura Monod & Laverrière e Taillens & Dubois e la costruzione fu realizzata dal 1911 al 1916.
La stazione è stata trasformata su progetto dell'architetto Danilo Mondala tra il 1992 e il 1996.
English: The railway station was build between 1911 and 1916 on a project from architects Monod & Laverrière and Taillens & Dubois.
