English: The temple of Gandharveshwar Mahadev is called the temple of Chobhar Danda, located in the historical city of Kirtipur Municipality of Kathmandu District, at an altitude of about 5000 feet above the sea level. This Gandharveshwar Mahadev has been considered as a witness of Adinath temple since time immemorial. The temple is one of the finest examples of stone art of the time. Historians say that this Gandharveshwar temple was started by Anshu Barma, the ruler of the 7th century, and completed during the time of Srinivasa Malla. Manes are also placed around this Gandharveshwar temple, this is a new feature of Mahadev's temple.
