| Description |
English: Gamston Bridge and the Grantham Canal This shows the view as you come out from under the older half of Gamston Bridge. To continue along the canal you have to cross the eastbound carriageway of Radcliffe Road further up. The road straight in front is bridge number 4 which culverted the Grantham Canal and is major obstacle to the reopening of the canal. This was constructed during the dual-ling of Radcliffe Road with scant regard for future use of the waterway. This is the main reason why a feasibility study to look into alternative routes to the River Trent was carried out in 2009. |
