Svenska: Gammelängsfortet är en del av Bodens fästning och stod färdigt 1907. Besättningen utgjordes av drygt 500 man. Fortet var byggt så att det skulle klara en längre belägring. Här fanns logement och mässar, eget kraftverk, en djupborrad brunn och sjuksalar. Bestyckningen utgjordes av åtta kraftfulla kanoner med en kaliber på 84-120 millimeter, och lika många kamponjärkanoner med 60 millimeters kaliber för närförsvar. Gammelängsfortet utgick som befästning 1992. |
