| Description |
English: The City of Gahanna has been approved for a Clean Ohio Revitalization Fund grant to conduct demolition and remediation activities at the Bedford I Landfill site. The 136.8-acre property contains approximately 21 acres of the former Columbus Tile Yard, a brick manufacturing facility; 26.3 acres of undeveloped commercial property; and 81 acres of landfill. The landfill portion was originally developed in 1900 by the Claycraft Brick Company as a shale mining operation. The City plans to transform this currently vacant, blighted property into an integrated commercial, office, light industrial, retail and recreational community. |
