GWR 6880 Toddington

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Without question the greatest attraction of the day, newly built 6880 Betton Grange locomotive takes a quick rest at Toddington Station in the evening of the Cotswold Festival of Steam event on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway. Born from a project that first started in the late 1990s, 6880 Betton Grange was built with the intention of bring the lost GWR 6800 Class back to life, as none of the original members survived into preservation during the withdrawal of Steam from British Rails in the 1960s, with the project first being based at the Llangollen Railway in Wales in 1998, before being moved to the Tyseley Locomotive Works in 2018 for the locomotive to be completed, in which it was finally finished this year.
