Bahasa Indonesia: Kawasan Karst Maros-Pangkep. Sulawesi Selatan memiliki kawasan karst yang tersebar di beberapa wilayah kabupatennya. Namun yang paling terkenal adalah kawasan karst yang terletak di Kabupaten Maros dan Kabupaten Pangkep. Kawasan Karst Maros-Pangkep (KKMP) merupakan yang terbesar dan terindah kedua di dunia setelah kawasan karst di Cina. Keunikan kawasan karst Maros Pangkep yang tidak terdapat pada kawasan-kawasan karst lainnya di Indonesia karena mempunyai bentang alam yang unik dan khas yang biasa disebut menara karst (tower karst). Di kawasan itu, bukit-bukit kapur menjulang tinggi dengan tebing yang menantang. Bahkan bersama kawasankarst di Pegunungan Sewu, kawasan karst Maros-Pangkep diusulkan sebagai situs warisan budaya dunia (World Heritage) kepada UNESCO.
