English: GRANITE Author: New York Publisher: Nesbitt & Co., Printers Date: August 1859 Description: Clipper ship sailing card, on porcelain coated stock, with color wood-engraved illustration. Sailing card for the E & Co. Shipper's Line vessel (John I Earle & Co.), Thomas Sparrow, Commander. The small circular engraving at the center of the card shows a ship hauled up on shore, to repair the hull, a large American flag flying from her deck.
