Description On August 28, 2018, preliminary, non-operational #GOES17 Advanced Baseline Imager (ABI) data began flowing through GOES Rebroadcast (GRB). Here's a full-disk visible image of Earth seen at 11:45 EDT on August 28. The GOES-17 ABI was declared “Beta” mature (minimally validated and not optimized for operational use; intended to help users gain familiarity with data formats and parameters) on August 27, 2018.
