Chest tomb of the Rt Hon Lady Anne Grimston of Gorhambury, died 1717 (<a href="http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-356243-grimston-memorial-and-railed-enclosure-a" rel="nofollow">Grade II</a> including the railings). In the churchyard of St Peter's Church, Tewin, Hertfordshire. The outer railings were installed in 1870 because of the number of visitors to the tomb wanting to see the trees growing out of it, which were reputed to owe their existence to the last and allegedly blasphemous words of Lady Grimston. She did not believe in life after death and said, "I shall not continue to live. It is as unlikely that I shall continue to live as that a tree will grow out of my body. If, indeed, there is life hereafter, trees will render asunder my tomb." GOC Hertfordshire's walk on 9 April 2016, in and around Watton-at-Stone and Tewin, Hertfordshire. I led this 11.3-mile walk, attended by 18 people.
