Summary

[edit]
Description
English: This drawing is from a postcard of a Great North of Scotland Railway Class V steam locomotive. On the back is the script "This type now runs on the SE+CR. Probably purchased from the GSWRGNSR."
Designed by William Pickersgill, ten were built by Neilson and Company in 1899–1900, but five were not needed and sold to the South Eastern and Chatham Railway. A further eight at the Great North's own Inverurie Locomotive Works between 1910–15.
Date Early 20th century, before 1923, when the Great North of Scotland Railway ceased to exist, probably earlier.
