| Description |
Northern Counties-bodied Leyland Atlantean, it was new in January 1984 to Greater Manchester Transport as 8697 but was later renumbered as 4697 in 1992. Withdrawn by First Manchester in August 2000, it went straight into preservation having spent it's entire working life being based at Bury whilst under GMT, GM Buses and First Manchester ownership.......having never being repainted into the "Tomato Soup" livery! It's preserved in the 1991 GM Buses livery but with it's original fleet number and is seen on display at Heaton Park on Sunday 2nd September during this year's Trans Lancs Rally |
