JPEG file comment | Gotthardbahn (GB): Gemischtzuglokomotive Serie Ec ¾ Nr. 190, gebaut 1883 in der Schweizerischen Lokomotiv- und Maschienfabrik (SLM) in Winterthur. Die Gotthardbahn beschaffte 1882 bei der Maschinenfabrik Emil Kessler in Esslingen (Württemberg) acht Tenderlokomotiven des „Mogul“-Typs „für Talbahngüterzüge und Bergbahnpersonenzüge“. Die Winterthurer Lokomotivfabrik lieferte ein Jahr später vier weitere Maschinen nach, die sich von den Esslinger Schwestern lediglich durch eine andere Form des Führerhauses unterschieden (der Kohlenkasten lag bei der Winterthurer Ausführung ausserhalb). Die Maschinen waren vorwiegend auf der Strecke über den Monte Ceneri zwischen Bellinzona und Lugano eingesetzt. Die zeitgenössischen Geschäftsberichte der Gotthardbahn loben den ruhigen Lauf, die geringe Spurkranzabnützung und die grosse Zugkraft der „Moguls“. Diese entwickelten eine Leistung von 500PS, eine Zugkraft von 5500kg und eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 65km/h. Die Bezeichnung der Lokomotiven wurde mehrmals geändert. Sie kamen 1882/83 als Serie C I mit den Nummern 81-92 in Betrieb. 1887 wechselte die Serienbezeichnung zu B 3 und 1902 (nach dem üblichen Schweizer Schema) zu Ec 3/4. 1895 wurden die Nummern von 81-92 auf 181-192 geändert. Nach der Verstaatlichung der Gotthardbahn führten die Schweizerischen Bundesbahnen (SBB) die zwölf Maschinen als Ec ¾ 6581-6592. Sie wurden alle zwischen 1914 und 1933 abgebrochen. |
