JPEG file comment | [Goitthardbahn/Zusammenfassung => bereits übermittelter Text Gotthardbahn: Gemischtzuglokomotive Ec ¾ Nr. 81-92, gebaut 18892 in der Maschinenfabrik in Esslingen (Nr. 81-88, Foto oben*) und 1893 in der Schweizerische Lokomotiv- und Maschinenfabrik in Winterthur (Nr. 89-92, Planskizze unten). Die 12 Stück Ec ¾ Mogul-Tenderlokomotiven der Gotthardbahn entsprechen weitgehend den zu gleicher Zeit in Esslingen gebauten Schlepptenderloks D 3/3 Nr. 51-66. Die Kessel- und Triebwerksabmessungen beider Fahrzeuge sind identisch, so dass gemeinsame Ersatzteile verwendet werden konnten. Die Esslinger und die Winterthurer Ausführung unterschieden sich lediglich durch eine unterschiedliche Ausgestaltung des Führerhauses, das bei den Nummern 89-92 den Kohlekasten (zur Vermeidung von Staub im Inneren) nicht mehr umschloss. Die Maschinen waren für eine Belastung von 130-145t auf der Bergstrecke und von 380-600t auf den Talstrecken ausgelegt. Bestimmt war die Reihe Ec ¾ „für Talbahngüterzüge und Bergbahnpersonenzüge“. Eingesetzt waren die wegen ihrer hohen Zugkraft, ihres ruhigen Laufs und der geringen Spurkranzabnützung beliebten Maschinen vom Depot Bellinzona aus primär über den Monte Ceneri (Strecke Bellinzona – Lugano – Chiasso) im Tessin. *) Auf dem Bild trägt die Lok bereits die spätere SBB-Nummer 185 (ex GB Nr. 85). |
