Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Replacing an earlier scanned photo with a better version. This aircraft was originally ordered by British Airways (allocated G-BIKN) which is why it's designated as a B757-236. They sold the delivery position to Air Europe (originally allocated G-BNEP). It was delivered to Air Europe as G-BPGW in Mar-84. It was leased to Air Europe's Spanish associate, Air Europa in Apr-89, initially with the temporary registration EC-265, becoming EC-EOK in May-89. It returned to Air Europe in May-90 as G-BPGW and was returned to the lessor in Nov-90. The same month it was leased to Avensa as YV-78C and also briefly saw service with SERVIVENSA before returning to the lessor in Aug-94 for storage at Las Vegas as N270AE. In Jun-95 it was again leased to Air Europa in Spain as EC-845/EC-GCA and was later sub-leased to Iberia for three years before returning to the lessor in Aug-00. This time it was stored at Tucson, AZ, USA until it was leased to Avianca Colombia in May-01 as N951PG (Pegasus Leasing). It was returned to Pegasus in Jul-04 and leased to Orient Thai Airlines as HS-OTB for operation under their 'One-two-go by Orient Thai' brand. It was returned to the lessor in Apr-06 as N951PG. Initially stored at Roswell, NM, USA, it was moved to Miami in Sep-06 for lease to a new Brazilian airline, Platinum Air. However the company never got started and it remained stored at Miami until it was finally broken up in 2012.
