Description La photographie appelée Général_Pierre_BAROIS_(1774-1861).jpg est celle du portrait (pastel) du capitaine Pierre BAROIS. Elle a moins de 70 ans et n'est pas, de ce fait, tombée dans le domaine public. Pierre BAROIS était capitaine de la compagnie de carabiniers du 4e bataillon du 8e régiment d'infanterie légère : http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/83e_r%C3%A9giment_d'infanterie_de_ligne . Pierre BAROIS n'a jamais été général. Engagé volontaire le 14 juillet 1793, il a pris sa retraite septembre en 1814 à Auxerre où il décéda 47 ans plus tard. Ne pas le confondre avec le général comte Pierre BARROIS né le 30 octobre 1774 à Ligny-en-Barrois, Meuse, décédé le 19 octobre 1860 à Villiers-sur-Orge. Il n'y a pas de lien de parenté entre le capitaine Pierre BaRois (2 août 1774 - 29 juillet 1861) et le général Pierre BaRRois.
