Deutsch: Das Bild illustriert eine Szene aus der Geschichte „Ali Schar und Sumurud“ Auf dem Basar wird die anmutige Sumurud als Sklavin angeboten, deren Herr sie aber nur demjenigen verkauft, den sich das Mädchen selbst aussucht. Ihre Wahl fällt auf Ali, den Sohn eines reichen Kaufmannes aus dem Lande Chorasan, der sie mit sich in sein Haus nimmt. Dort speisen und trinken und plaudern sie, bis Ali einschläft. Das Bild entspricht folgender Textstelle auf Seite 463f: „Sodann entkleidete sie sich und bettete sich neben Ali und knetete ihn, bis er erwachte. Da erblickte er neben sich ein Mägdelein gleich einem Barren lauteren Silbers, welcher denn Seide und zarter denn der Schwanz eines Fettschafes. Und sie maß nur fünf Fuß, ihre Brüste waren straff und prall, die Wangen rot, der Hüftenschluß voller Fettfältchen, der Nabel faßte wohl eine Unze Öles und die Schenkel waren wie Kissen, die mit Straußenfedern gestopft sind. Da neigte sich Ali flugs zu ihr und presste sie an seine Brust und knüpfte die unlöslichen Bande der Liebe, indem er sie umfing und bei ihr ruhete in dem engen Gewande der Umarmung.“" |
