Simulation of the fusion of 2 identical atomic nuclei with deformations due to proximity nuclear forces

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Hyperbolic lemniscates (or Cassini's ovaloïds) are used to describe the sequences of shapes taken by 2 nuclei during their fusion, with deformations due to nuclear forces of proximity. This makes it possible to calculate - analytically - at each stage, the different components of their energy with the model of the liquid drop (volume energy, surface energy, Coulomb energy, etc.).
