Summary
[edit]DescriptionFuselage of Lucky Lady II.jpg |
English: Forward portion of fuselage of the Boeing B-50 Superfortress "Lucky Lady II" at Planes of Fame Museum, Chino, California.
Making No. 17530. In 1949, as a B-50A-5-BO, ‘Lucky Lady II’ became the first aircraft to circle the world nonstop. She was refueled in flight and was in the air for 94hours, 1minute. Later converted to a WB-50D she suffered a belly landing and consequently only the fuselage was preserved. The wings, engines and tail feathers of KC-97L 53-0317 are currently stored at Valle, AZ, and will eventually be used to recreate a complete B-50.Français : Partie avant du fuselage de la Superfortress Boeing B-50 "Lucky Lady II" au musée Planes of Fame, Chino, Californie. |
