Summary
[edit]DescriptionFunicular Bad Ragaz - Wartenstein.jpg | These remains of an old train path, I discovered while visiting the fortress Tamina. Everything is pretty overgrown like this curved viaduct with seven arches, but walkable for experienced hikers. The route starts exact at the beginning of the mountain road from Bad Ragaz to Pfäfers where I took the photo with the traffic signs. On a distance of about 800 meters you overcome on direct route a height difference of 227 m to castle and hotel Wartenstein. The funicular was built in 1892 and was in operation till 25th October 1964. Bad Ragaz, Switzerland, Oct 24, 2011. |
