English: Fungus, Clandeboye Wood (1). There is an area of mixed (but mainly beech) deciduous woodland to the south/south east of the entrance to Clandeboye wood. It contains many stumps, fallen trees and dead branches. Parts of it are dampish. Overall it provides good conditions for fungi. There were many present today. The following sequence is a sample. This bracket fungus was growing about five feet above ground level. Continue to 914060. |
