Description
English: A Marine takes a break from the desert sun at the biennial Dubai Airshow at Dubai World Central airport in Jebel Ali, United Arab Emirates, Nov. 16, 2013. A U.A.E. C-17 taxis into position behind the Cobra. Department of Defense officials stated the Dubai Airshow highlights DOD aviation technology as well as the men and women who serve. The U.S. participates in DAS to demonstrate a commitment to regional security, to demonstrate the flexibility of air power, and to strengthen military to military relationships with regional partners. All DOD forces participating in the airshow were already deployed in the region.
