Se muestra la optimizacion de un C61H2 [5,6] mediante el uso de DFT: PW91/dnd. Se trata del C61H2 con el grupo CH2 unido al enlace [5,6], es decir en el enlace entre un pentagono y un hexagono. Es notable la distorsion mayor que se tiene en la caja fullerenica. En terminos de estabilidad energetica.
